It’s a Power Move.

A friend recently said something that made me smile… and then roll my eyes just a little (in a good way, because she is a good friend).

“Nadia, you manage to do everything—even with multiple businesses!”

Uh… no. Not even close.

I Don’t Do It All—But Here’s What I Do Refuse to Compromise On

Let’s clear that up right away: I don’t do it all. I’ve just gotten really clear about what I’m not doing.

Truth is, I’ve let go of a lot of fluff. Some things got dropped on purpose so I could focus on what actually moves my life forward. What matters—to me.

So I made a list. Not a to-do list. A non-negotiable list. The things I protect, stick to, and build my days around. Because without them? Everything starts to wobble.

Here’s what made the cut:

1. Morning Routine

Before the day starts bossing me around, I take control. Meditation. Affirmations. Visualization. Exercise. Reading. Journaling. All from Hal Elrod’s Miracle Morning, a book I read 3 times and found a nugget each time. Some mornings are smoother than others, but the point is: I show up for me first.

2. No More Shiny Object Syndrome

Before I say yes to something, I ask: “Does this help me move toward what I said I wanted?” If not? I walk away. FOMO doesn’t pay the bills or bring me joy. Focus does.

3. Health Comes First (Yes, Even When I’m Busy)

I don’t give health advice (talk to your doctor), but here’s what I do:

• Eat real food, mostly homemade

• Walk daily—outside, no fancy gym required

• Drink more water (still working on this one)

Because I can’t run my business—or enjoy life—if I feel like junk.

4. Time + People Boundaries (Without Guilt)

I work during the hours I decide, not whenever the world wants me. And no, not everyone gets access to my time or brain. I love helping people—but I’ve learned the hard way: when I say yes to everyone, I have nothing left for the people I care about most.

5. Time With My People

Real dinners with my husband. Daily calls with my aging parents. No multitasking. No scrolling. Just being there. Because when time runs out (and it always does), we never wish we’d worked more. We wish we’d lived more.

6. Daily Learning

I learn something every single day—business, marketing, mindset, or just something random that sparks joy. Learning keeps me curious, creative, and growing. And honestly? It’s fun.

7. Evening Routine (a.k.a. Social Media Detox)

At night, I unplug. No notifications. No phone. No TV. Just quiet. I prep for the next day, reflect a little, and read fiction until I drift off. And because sleep used to be a battle, I finally found a product that helps. Not a miracle—took about 2 weeks—but now I sleep well most nights. Here’s the link if you want to check it out.

So no, I’m not superwoman. I’m just selective. And that has made all the difference.

If you’ve been feeling stretched thin, try starting your own list of non-negotiables. Just one or two to begin with. You might be surprised how much lighter life feels when you stop saying yes to things that don’t serve you.
