I Went Quiet—Because I Was Doing the Wrong Work
Let’s get right to the point:
I disappeared.
No blog posts. No updates. No rhythm.
And it wasn’t because I had nothing to say.
It was because I was too busy doing things I had no damn business doing.
Like… building funnels.
Myself.
For the love of conversion rates—I was elbow-deep in tech tutorials, landing page builders, automations, design tweaks, you name it.
And here’s the kicker: none of it was in my zone of genius. None of it needed me specifically to get done. But I convinced myself it was “just part of the process.”
What it really was?
A massive, beautifully disguised distraction.
A way to stay busy instead of being visible.
I Became My Own Bottleneck
While I was fiddling with pixels, trying to connect buttons and links and triggers, my audience heard nothing from me. My voice—the thing that actually builds trust, connection, and sales—went silent. Why?
Because I was too busy being the funnel fairy. (tell me that I look like fairy 😂)
And spoiler alert: that role was never on my job description.
The truth is, I fell into the all-too-common trap of solopreneur martyrdom.
“If I don’t do it, it won’t get done.”
“If I learn this one more tool, I’ll finally have control.”
“If I just finish this backend system, then I’ll feel ready.”
Sound familiar?
Let me lovingly slap that logic right off the table:
Doing everything does not make you powerful. It makes you scattered, slow, and stuck. Ask me how I know...
Delegation Isn’t Luxury—It’s Leverage
Here’s the part where I say something that used to make me roll my eyes: I should’ve delegated.
Not eventually. Immediately.
Not because I’m too good for tech (I’m not).
But because every hour I spent building backend systems was an hour I wasn’t doing what only I can do: coaching, creating content, building relationships, showing up.
Visibility drives business.
Funnels support it.
But if your funnel is perfect and your presence is missing—you’ve just built a gorgeous road to nowhere.
Lesson Learned. Task Delegated.
I’ve corrected course. I’m off funnel-duty.
And yes, it was humbling to admit I wasted time doing tasks that were “not my business.” Literally.
My business is transformation. Strategy. Coaching. Speaking truth into people who are ready to build something real. And the more I stay in my lane, the more momentum I build—for myself and my clients.
If You’ve Been Quiet Too…
Ask yourself:
Are you silent because you’re scared? Or because you’re distracted by tasks that don’t belong to you?
Either way, you get to choose again.
And today’s a damn good day to choose visibility.
So this post isn’t just me raising my hand.
It’s me stepping back into my role—as a leader, not a tech intern.
No more silence. No more solo martyr badge.
Just focused, front-facing action from here on out.
Let me ask you straight:
What are you doing right now that’s not your job—but feels easier than showing up?
Let this be your wake-up post too.
And if you're done hiding behind tasks, maybe it's time we talk.
I’ve got a clarity call with your name on it—no funnel-building required.
Let’s get you back where you belong: front and center.
